Surge de la falta de cuestionamientos hacia las consecuencias cognoscitivas y cognitivas que representa para los alumnos la incorporación de las distintas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) al currículo universitario. El objetivo propuesto es desarrollar el pensamiento crítico y reflexivo en los estudiantes en la educación virtual. El texto consta de una presentación en la que se contextualiza la relación entre la educación y las TIC, y las prácticas subsidiarias de esta relación como son la lectura y la escritura; luego, un marco conceptual en el que se ponen de manifiesto las principales teorías al respecto de este tema, y unas consideraciones finales que justifican la implementación de este tipo de materiales en el aula de clases. It arises from the lack of questioning for the cognoscitive and cognitive consequences which represent for the students the incorporation of various forms of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to the university curriculum. The proposed objective is to develop critical and reflective thinking in students in virtual learning. The text consists of an introduction, in which the relationship between education and ICTs is put in context, and the subsidiary practices of this relationship such as reading and writing; a conceptual framework which highlights the main theories regarding this subject, and some final considerations which justify the implementation of such materials in the classroom.
