La propuesta se realiza mediante un recorrido por la historia y los conceptos del pensamiento filosófico latinoamericano en el que se evidencia la negación del mestizaje. Se culmina el artículo con unas consideraciones finales en las que se sostiene que la filosofía intercultural es una herramienta que permite la construcción de la identidad latinoamericana.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Palabras clave</strong></p> <p>Filosofía intercultural, Identidad, Mestizaje, Pensamiento filosófico latinoamericano, Reconocimiento.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Abstract </strong></p> <p>The objective of this article is to deal with the subject of Latin American identity, by showing that its achievement must be based on the acknowledgement of the miscegenation (<em>mestizaje</em>) as a main element for acquiring the essential status of Latin-American being and the total comprehension of our own <em>ethos</em>. This proposal is performed by means of a review of the history and the concepts of Latin-American philosophical thinking in which become evident the denial of mestizaje. The article ends with some final considerations which state that intercultural philosophy is a tool that allows the construction of Latin-American identity.</p> <p><strong>Keywords</strong></p> <p>Intercultural philosophy, Identity, Mestizaje, Latin-American philosophical thinking, Acknowledgement.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Résumé</strong></p> <p>L´objectif de cet article est d´aborder le sujet de l´identité latino-américaine, en indiquant que sa réussite doive être basée sur la reconnaissance du métissage comme un élément fondamental pour l´acquisition du rang essentiel de l´être latino-américain et la compréhension total de notre propre <em>ethos</em>. Cette proposition a été réalisé à partir d´un parcours à travers de l´histoire et à travers des concepts de la pensée philosophique latino-américaine dans lequel devienne évident la négation du métissage.
